I found this interesting activity from a website. So, we decided to do it and share it here. We need 11 pieces of ladybug's structure as we gonna to do number 0 to 10. Normally, parents will teach their children from number 1 to 10 and often missed out the number 0. It is important to let children understand the concept of number 0. Then, we will need to cut out 55 black dots(0+1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10=55). I helped SyuenSyuen to cut the dots as she still couldn't cut the curve part. Or you can ask your children to use the punch to create the dots, it will be easier and faster and your children can practise his/her gross motor skill.
After that, label the ladybug from 0 to 10.
Then, I left SyuenSyuen alone to glue the dots according to the numbers. From there, she learns to recognize the number and counting too. And yup, she can practise her fine motor skill too.
At first, she will paste one and count, paste another and count. Sometimes, she get frustrated as she had to recount it, again and again. Then, she used another method. She counted while pasting one by one. She got frustrated too. She is kinda impatient. When she is familiar with the activity, I saw her counting the dots first and put it aside, then only pasted it on the ladybug. She tried to overcome her problem herself without seeking for help.This is what I really feel proud of her.

Then, I tried to improvise it by pasting all the ladybugs on a cardboard to make it hard.
Ohh...suddenly, my creativity is finally back in my brain. In this project, I can teach Syuen and Ning
- Number Recognization
- Sequencing (Ascending and Descending Order)
- Big and Small Number
- Fill in the missing number
- Even and Odd Number (for advance level, I left this out for Syuen at this moment)
