Multi-Bubbles with just One Blow!

Okay! So, we are really hooked up with bubbles! This time we tried this, multi-bubbles with just one blow! What makes this activity more attractive is that we are doing recycling at the same time. Cut it short, this is the ingredient we need;
          Bottles (according to the amount that you want to make)
          Straws (a few, cut into 4 same length)
          Rubber bands

Method:
1.) Cut the upper and lower part of the bottles. The upper part will be the bubbles blower. We save the lower part of the bottle for putting bubbles solution.
2.) Tie the straws together with a rubber band. The amount of straws has to adjust according to the mouth of the bottle.
3.) Then, stuff the straws into the mouth of the bottle. The rubber band functioned as a stopper too.

This is very easy. All we need to do is dip it into the bubbles solution and blow it! This is also a very excellent bubbles blower for toddlers because there's no chances for the toddler's mouth to get in contact with the bubbles solution. Have Fun!

 

Giant Bubbles

This is our favourite activity just before the haze, probably two months ago. Kind of busy lately, sorry for this very late post. My girls love to play with bubbles, coincidently found a webpage teaching us to make giant bubble! This caught our attention. So, here we are!

 

The ingredient that we need;

For the bubbles solution:

          250ml dish washer

          4tbsp tapioca flour

          1.5liter water 

Just mix all the ingredient in a big basin.

 

For the bubbles sticks:

          2 strings (one is shorter and the other is longer)

          2 bamboo sticks

Tie one end of the shorter string at the upper part of a bamboo stick and repeat the other end of the shorter string attached to another upper part of the bamboo stick. Repeat the same for the longer string but tie it at the middle of the bamboo sticks.

 

You can blow it or just run and just let the wind do the trick!

 

The Year 2012

Year 2012 is definitely a year to remember. We went through so much ups and downs this year, good stuff...the little one that we have been so looking forward to...bad stuff...learned lesson and of course, being a much wiser person now. But most of all, we have SURVIVED! v(^_^)V

December is always a busy yet a happy month for us. It is always the month of some important functions and events to attend, the month of spring cleaning, the month as a full-time mother as the kids are having their long holidays, and not forgetting it is also the month to sum up company account. Pheewww...so much things to be done...yet, enjoying every moment of it though sometimes felt exhausted!

As I'm now in the second trimester, we have been cutting down on outdoor activity. This month I focus more on NingNing's pronunciation, letting the girls helping me with some household chores and their social behaviour in public. As we are celebrating Winter Solstice and Christmas this month, I decided to let the girls  have some fun. I made the dough from the glutinous rice flour, adding colouring (red, pink and green) to separated dough then, letting the girls to finish the job. The girls got creative, SyuenSyuen made the "tang yuan" with Christmas term. She made a Snowman instead of traditional round tang yuan while NingNing made 'snake'!! (O.o) They even mixed the colour and knead it round and now, we had RAINBOW tang yuan! So much fun with the girls, it was a MESS but we are happy! Ooppss...so enjoyed that I have forgotten the existing of the camera! (=.=)" Anyway, this is the only photo of the tang yuan making.

Last year, we decorated a Candy Christmas Tree. This year, we decorated the Christmas tree with handmade gifts and snowman. They were all made from unwanted material, another recycle project :) Hopefully, we have more and more blessed years to come!

Recycle! Reuse! Reduce!

We want to do something for our Mother Earth so, we decided to start from our home. In the meantime, exposing the girls to creativity and nurturing their love for our Mother Earth.

First, we came out with the idea of rearing the fishes by using the water filter (the water filter was left unused for sometimes already). This is amazing, we had a very clear and nice view of the fishes and the "aquarium" is unique!! The job of changing the water was much more easier now with just pulling up the tap!

Next, we had some hands-on in the laundry sector. We did some twisting on the normal clothes hanger as shown in the photo so that we could use it as a SHOES or even SOCKS hanger. It really drained out the water quite well! As for the socks, you wouldn't have parts that were not completely dry out! This is indeed very useful!

Can't really remember which day but it was definitely heavy rain with strong wind, perhaps a "baby tornado" that caused our clothes rack to tumble! Yup, I had to wash all the clothes all over again! Then, we had an idea! Rather than just the clothes rack, we decided to tie a CHAIN (a plastic chain works well compared to iron chain as it is lighter in weight). The reason we used a CHAIN is because it can hold the clothes hanger in place. So, the clothes won't crumpled together no matter how strong the wind is and of course, the clothes dried up prefectly. Therefore, throw away your ROPE for hanging your clothes, change it to the CHAIN :)

I bought a plastic basket to keep my clothes peg, in fact I bought a few times already as the basket couldn't endure the weather. In the end, my hubby cut a mineral bottle into half, using two cable band to tie it with the lantern hook (spoiled Chinese New Year lantern) and here is my new "basket" to keep my clothes peg.

My smart hubby leaving the lower part of the mineral bottle left unclosed so that, no dirt or water was left in it! Simply love this cute little basket!

I believe most of us drive-thru to McDonald before. We had a couple of this at home. And I personally found it very useful as it can be used as a PAD! It is not an i-pad but it is a multi use pad! It is especially useful when we needed to place a HOT kettle, pan, wok or any other kitchen utensil. I even had one to hold my OILY oil pot! So, I had an "oil-free and heat-free" kitchen! :)



Somehow, we love to brain-storming ideas..looking for the best solution so that we can recycle, reuse and reduce the so-called rubbish! I guess that not only us but also the Mother Earth benefits from it! Go Green and Save Our Mother Earth!
